Boots Named Top Place to Work by The Sunday Times

bootsopticians

Boots UK and Boots Opticians have been awarded places in the 2010 Sunday Times Best Companies to work for list.
Boots Opticians ranked sixth place in the top 25 organisations to work for in the country, while Boots UK was awarded 18th place in its first year of entry.

Best Companies awarded Boots Opticians two-star status, which means it is recognised as an outstanding place to work.

Boots UK received one star status, which means it is viewed as a first class place to work.
As part of the judging criteria, more than 8,000 employees were surveyed across Boots UK and Boots Opticians.

Andy Ferguson, managing director of Boots Opticians said: "I'm delighted that our people have confirmed their support for the new Boots Opticians and their belief in our goal to be the world's best health and beauty led optician."

Alex Gourlay, chief executive, health & beauty division, Alliance Boots said the achievement meant "a great deal to the whole organisation".
