You will only be testing from Monday to Friday with no weekends- a rare thing in optics!!! Some experience would be desirable, but not essential, as you will be well trained and supported, with an experienced dispensing optician working alongside you in the delivery of expert patient care, performing sight tests in care homes or making home visits. The full time or part time regular hours do also include a Saturday commitment.
